Sports Illustrated honors Altuve, Watt
Jose Altuve and J.J. Watt were honored Tuesday night as Sports Illustrated’s Sportspersons of the Year — Watt for his $37 million fundraising effort for Hurricane Harvey relief, and Altuve for his role in leading the Astros to their first World Series title. They took the stage in New York with award presenter Michael Strahan, who described them as “Houstonians and champions in every way.”
