1 They need to establish a running game with Carlos Hyde to help take some pressure off QB Jimmy Garoppolo. 2 When they reach Texans’ territory, the 49ers need to score TDs and not rely on too many Robbie Gould field goals. 3 They’ve been outscored 74-22 in the first quarter. They don’t want to fall too far behind and be forced to catch up.

1 If the Texans play hard and stay competitive, they should be in position to beat the 49ers for their fifth win. 2 Tom Savage needs to finally play a game in which he doesn’t throw an pick or lose a fumble on a strip sack. 3 The defense has to be able to handle quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who’s making his second consecutive road start.
