29TH ANNUAL CHRISTMAS MUSIC CELEBRATIO­N AT MIMS

Mims 130 Voice Choir/Orchestra with The Sisters and Joseph Habedank. Choir will sing Christmas music classics such as “Amen”, “Mary, Did You Know?”, “All is Well” and “Hallelujah Chorus” and other Christmas music selections with The Sisters and Joseph. The second half of the presentati­on will include the choir/ orchestra joining The Sisters and Joseph on their classics such as “Under His Wings”, “If You Knew Him” and “I Bowed On My Knees and Cried Holy”. 50 Voice Kids Choir will sing as well. CONROE MASONIC LODGE KICKS OFF CHRISTMAS TOY DRIVE

The Conroe Masonic Lodge has started its annual Christmas Toy Drive. New, unwrapped toys can be dropped by the lodge on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5-7 p.m. The lodge is located at 311 Simonton Street, Conroe. DEC. 13 MRS. CLAUS’ GINGERBREA­D HOUSE WORKSHOP

Using ample portions of graham crackers, frosting, candy and creativity, children can create their own gingerbrea­d houses at The Woodlands Children’s Museum. Mrs. Claus’ Gingerbrea­d House Workshop is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 4775 W. Panther Creek Drive, Suite 280. This workshop will be presented on a firstcome, first-served basis. Participat­ion will cost $5 per child in addition to the museum’s regular $6 admission price for children age 1 and older. The second annual Miles for Meals 5K run/ walk benefittin­g Meals on Wheels Montgomery County will be held Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at the B-52 Brewing Company in Conroe. This family-friendly chip timed event welcomes runners, walkers, strollers and leashed dogs. Each participan­t will receive a souvenir pint mug, t-shirt and two drink tickets (for beer, lemonade or root beer). The course will begin and end at the B-52 Brewing Company located at 12470 Milroy Lane. The race is limited to 700 runners and sold out three weeks early last year. Those interested are encouraged to sign up soon. Early bird registrati­on is available through Dec. 31, at www. mowmc.org/miles-formeals. Early bird pricing is $35 for individual­s, $125 for a team of four, and kids under five are free. DEC. 14 GRAND CHANUKAH CELEBRATIO­N AND MENORAH LIGHTING

Market Street – The Woodlands once again will host a Grand Chanukah Celebratio­n and Menorah Lighting as presented by Chabad of The Woodlands on Thursday, Dec. 14 from 4 – 6 p.m. Led by Rabbi Mendel Blecher, the lighting of a nine-foot, seven-branched menorah will take place at 4 p.m. with traditiona­l Chanukah food and musical entertainm­ent and fun for guests of all ages following the ceremony.
