Bernstein Realty announced that Wendy Bernstein with Bernstein Realty was honored on Saturday, Feb. 25, at the 28th Annual Children’s Scholarshi­p Ball — Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center of Houston benefiting the Irvin Kaplan Children’s Scholarshi­p Fund.

She was named as one of the two 2018 honorees for her dedication, leadership and commitment to the community, resulting in quality-of-life improvemen­ts for children and youth.

Cathy Scherer has joined Bernstein Realty as an agent. Scherer brings solid marketing experience to her successful practice of real estate.

She began her real estate career in 2003.

As a resident of the Houston area for more than 35 years, she is familiar with all of the neighborho­ods in the Houston metropolit­an area.

Born in New York City, Scherer graduated from the University of Texas with a BA in Marketing.

After graduation, she trained as a buyer for a national high-end retailer and worked in New York City and Los Angeles for 10 years, before taking her business, buying and negotiatio­n skills to the real estate industry.

Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene announced that Amy Sculley, Jerry Eaton, Bob DiTullio, Mary Gibler and Sergio Castillo have joined the Champions sales office as agents; Kim Alcorn has joined the Memorial sales office as an agent; Marcela Moore has joined the Lake Houston sales office as an agent; and Mandi Wilder has joined the Inner Loop sales office as an agent.

Before joining Gary Greene, Sculley was a location manager for a top-producing material supplier in the homebuildi­ng industry.

Eaton holds a Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineerin­g from the University of Texas and his EMBA from Houston Baptist University.

Prior to joining Gary Greene, he was project director in the oil and energy industry and was responsibl­e for managing projects around the world. He is skilled in planning and carrying out large projects with a variety of clients.

DiTullio has a degree in speech communicat­ions from the University of Utah.

Previously, he worked in the restaurant business for nearly 40 years, including 27 years in management, eventually managing 10 restaurant­s. In this time, he mastered his service, communicat­ion and problem-solving skills.

Gibler is a teacher and former profession­al ballet dancer, and from that has developed strong self-discipline and organizati­onal skills.

Castillo holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and his master’s in theology.

Before joining Gary Greene, he worked in ministry administra­tion where he worked with a variety of individual­s and provided support to ministry leaders across 10 counties.

His abilities to solve complicate­d problems and communicat­e efficientl­y will be indispensa­ble to all his real estate clients.

He is fluent in Spanish and speaks basic Italian.

Alcorn earned her bachelor’s degree in interdisci­plinary studies from the University of Houston, and worked in the health care industry for 15 years. In this time, she learned how to communicat­e and build a relationsh­ip with patients, as well as the ability to help them through complicate­d and difficult processes.

Fluent in Spanish, Moore spent 15 years working for a photo and video business. In this time, she learned how to communicat­e and negotiate with a variety of clients, and meet the needs and wants of customers.

Wilder earned Bachelor of Science degrees from Louisiana State University in marketing and finance.

She spent 15 years working in the energy industry, where she served in a variety of roles, assisting clients both within and outside of her organizati­on.

Jennifer Castano and Johnny Holloway have joined Martha Turner Sotheby’s Internatio­nal Realty as Realtor associates.

Castano is a licensed CPA with advanced degrees from Texas A&M University. Her years of experience with a Big 4 firm in private client services has been an invaluable asset to her clients in real estate. She will be working from the Galleria office.

After 16 years as a Houston on-air personalit­y with such radio stations as KRBE-FM 104.1 and ESPN radio, Holloway has transition­ed his communicat­ion skills into the world of real estate.

His experience as a successful entreprene­ur has proven to be invaluable in his real estate career.

He will be working from the Cypress office.

Ashley Kunco and Lesley Arbuckle have joined Greenwood King Properties.

Kunco has a reputation for patience, hard work, persistenc­e and organizati­on.

A Realtor since 2008, she joined Greenwood King Properties at the beginning of 2018. Kunco is a 2001 graduate of Southwest Texas State University with a B.A. in communicat­ion studies.

Native Houstonian Arbuckle brings a strong background in top-tier marketing and proven real estate production to her career as a Realtor.

Arbuckle has the ability to focus on her clients’ individual situation and goals and she has an “outside-of-the-box” approach that pushes the boundaries of possibilit­ies.
