There are men who wouldn’t consider leaving the house without a spritz of a signature scent. No, they’re not metrosexuals (do those still exist?) but careful curators of their own brand. They know the entire package is not complete without a scent that helps define his presentation to the world. Clothes may make the man but a personal fragrance is the grace note that may be remembered more than great shoes or ties. Colognes make great Father’s Day gifts, too. If you happen to have a dad who needs some finesse in the fragrance department, here are some new and classic scents, some perfectly tailored for summer weather.

Rich man: Jo Malone London has taken three of its cologne-intense fragrances and made them even more fragrant. Oud & Bergamot is one of the magnified scents, upping the ante on this mash-up between the rich resin of the agar tree and citrusy bergamot; $270 at Jo Malone London, River Oaks District and Saks Fifth Avenue stores.

Five points: Louis Vuitton’s first men’s fragrance collection offers five new scents from master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud. The collection includes Sur la Route, a blend of Calabrian citrus, bergamot and a touch of wood, married to a green grass accent and Peruvian balsam; $240 at Louis Vuitton, the Galleria.

Bleu Period: Bleu de Chanel has long held its spot in Chanel’s men’s fragrance portfolio. But it has just been released in parfum form, the most intense interpretation of this union of cedar and sandalwood. Think of it as classic Bleu with plenty of new muscles; $120 and $150 at Macy’s, Dillard’s and Sephora stores.

Lemon sky: How to improve on the original Eau d’Orange Verte? It would seem impossible. But Hermès has done just that with its new Eau de Citron Noir, a grove of citrus (lemons, finger limes, Buddha’s hand) mixed with black tea and guaiac wood. A new classic is born; $95-$175 at Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Hermès at River Oaks District.

Dolce vida: Tom Ford’s exploration of Italian coastline began with Neroli Portofino, and now the voyage continues with Sole di Positano, fragrant in lemon, bitter orange, bergamot and mandarin with some jasmine, orange blossom and neroli for good measure; $230 at Tom Ford, River Oaks District.

Mood Indigo: Mr. Burberry now has a sibling, the new Mr. Burberry Indigo, a fresh, woodsy rush of crisp British air. The fragrance, created in collaboration with master perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, is a rush of citrus, violet leaf, spearmint, rosemary and a depth from amber and oak moss; $69-$117 at Nordstrom and Macy’s.

Air Apparent: Calvin Klein’s Eternity collection reaches for the sky with the new Eternity Air Calvin Klein, an aromatic blend of mandarin orange, juniper berry, lavender, green apple, violet leaves, patchouli and sea moss. With “ozonic” notes, think of it as a breath of fresh air; $42-$79 at Palais Royal and Macy’s.

Creed’s Neroli Sauvage is inspired by the French word for “wild.” Evocative of the castle gardens and summer parties of the Duchess of Nerola, this classic Creed scent is pure summer love: verbena, bergamot, bitter orange, grapefruit and orange blossom kissed by neroli; $395 at Neiman Marcus.
