Taylor Morrison begins building GHBA Benefit home
Taylor Morrison Houston is putting its expertise to work as part of the 2018 Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA), Benefit Homes team, which works with local builders, developers and vendors to build and sell a home each year in Greater Houston, with profits going to fund local charities. The two charities this year are HomeAid Houston and Operation Finally Home.
Taylor Morrison recently began construction on its Rosebay floor plan in Grand Vista. The one-story home features 1,730 square feet of living space with an open-concept great room and an owner’s suite with a walk-in closet and two additional bedrooms.
“When we were approached by GHBA to participate, we were quick to jump at the chance,” said Amy Rino, division president of Taylor Morrison Houston, Darling Homes Houston and Bonterra. “We have seen what an extraordinary difference this project makes and how it helps bring the community together around a very positive goal. Taylor Morrison recognizes the importance of giving back to the community, and we’re excited to be a part of this 38-year-old fundraiser.”

Each year, two homes are built for this GHBA charity fundraiser with donated land, construction management, materials, labor and services by GHBA members. These homes are constructed value. Since the project began 38 years ago, over $10 million has been raised.
