Highland Homes partners with vendors for charity

-

Highland Homes built its Windemere plan in the community of Balmoral and Land Tejas Cos. donated the homesite.

Highland Homes, one of two builders constructing a Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) Benefit Homes Project home in 2018, recently completed its home with vendor and supplier donations that will ensure the sale of the home will provide much-needed funds to local charities. HomeAid Houston and Operation Finally Home are the beneficiaries.

Each year two homes are built for this GHBA charity fundraiser with donated land, construction management, materials, labor and services by GHBA members. These homes are constructed with upgrade materials and features and are sold at market value. Since the project began 38 years ago, more than $10 million has been raised.

Highland Homes built its Windemere plan in the community of Balmoral and Land Tejas Cos. donated the homesite. Vendor companies donating their materials or services include: Action Gypsum, Allied Concrete, All Points Survey, Anchor Drywall, Atak Pest Control, Big Tex, BMC, Broan, Builders Post Tension, Burgess Construction, CJ Builders Service, D&E Door, Drain Rite Gutters, Empire Contracting, Escobar Landscaping and Eyeon Integrated Systems.

Highland’s Windemere plan is 2,250 square feet and features four bedrooms, three baths and a two-car garage. The island kitchen overlooks the open dining and living room, with a two-story ceiling and access to the extended outdoor living area. The master suite is down, with a walk- in closet. Other features of this home include an additional bedroom and full bath down, a game room and two upstairs bedrooms.

This home is open for visitors to tour and is being offered at special pricing.

This is the 16th lot that Land Tejas has donated to the Benefit Homes Project. The second Benefit home recently broke ground in Grand Vista. Taylor Morrison/Darling Homes is building its Rosebay plan.
