Houston, TX - On October 20, 2018, Edgar Frechette passed away from a sudden terminal illness at age 75 in his Houston, TX home surrounded by his family. Ed is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lynda (Maki) Frechette; three children, Jeffrey Frechette (CA), Janice Frechette-Artinger (CA) and Christophe­r Frechette (TX), sister Gertrude FrechetteS­koglind (GA), and several grandchild­ren, nieces, and nephews.

Ed was born February 18, 1943, in Putnam CT to Simeon Joseph Frechette and Ethel (Pike) Frechette. Ed served in the Army National Guard and worked at Electric Boat, Groton CT before moving his family out West to begin his profession­al career in the off-shore oil industry.

In 1974, Ed settled in Houston, TX. He was employed by Marathon Marine Engineerin­g and SGS Inspection Services. Recently retired from Zentech Engineerin­g as a structural designer, Ed was looking forward to spending retirement with his wife and visiting their children, seven grandchild­ren and five greatgrand­children.

A memorial service is pending. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Edgar Frechette to Plainfield Little League, a charter member of Little League Baseball, Inc. 501 C (3) #06-1559781. Plainfield Little League P.O. Box 249, Plainfield, CT 06374. Funds donated will be designated to rebuilding the outdated dugouts at Plainfield Little League Field where Ed and his friends enjoyed their summers.
