Winfred Kenneth Fraysur passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at his home. Daddy was born in Victor, Colorado on April 21, 1918 where he worked in the coal mines before moving to Texas in the late 1940’s. He lived to be 100 years, 6 months and 1 week.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Edith.

He is survived by 3 sons and their spouses, Vernon and Debbie, James and Wenoka, Martin and Marilyn; 9 grandchild­ren and 20 greatgrand­children.

Daddy worked in the oil and gas industry before retiring from Pipefitter­s Local #211 in 1983 and then moved from Sheldon to Coldspring, where they spent many hours volunteeri­ng at the Senior Center. They also loved plants, flowers, birds and hummingbir­ds.

Daddy loved hunting, fishing and making wine. He was sweet, kind, and very generous and will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

The family wishes to express a special thanks to our angel, Minnie Walker, who cared for our Daddy for the past few years.

A visitation for Winfred will be held Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., funeral service on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A committal service will occur immediatel­y following the funeral service at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77095.
