Mendocino Farms, Popbar add Houston locations

Mendocino Farms, a casual restaurant based in Southern California, will become another dining option in Uptown Park, a project of Edens undergoing a renovation at Post Oak Boulevard and West Loop 610. The 3,205-square-foot restaurant will join Flower Child, an Arizonabas­ed health food restaurant that opened in September. Scheduled to open in spring, Mendocino Farms serves fare such as salads and sandwiches made with ingredient­s from farm and food artisan partners.

Popbar has opened a Galleria location serving gelato, sorbetto and yogurt on a stick that can be customized with dippings and toppings. The chain has other area locations in Baybrook Mall, The Woodlands and Pearland Town Center. Olive Garden plans to open at Valley Ranch Town Center, a 1.5-million-square-foot mixedused project of The Signorelli Co. at U.S. 59 and the Grand Parkway, northeast of Houston, in May. The restaurant will occupy a new 7,700-square-foot building at 21638 US 59, New Caney. Other upcoming restaurant­s include Buffalo Wild Wings, Airi Poke & Ramen, SubZero Ice Cream, Yummy Tummy and Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburge­rs.

Orangetheo­ry Fitness will soon open a 3,622-square-foot studio at 3415 Louisiana at Holman in Midtown. Bruce Frankel of Frankel Developmen­t Group represente­d the tenant and Patrick Buckhoff of Re/Max Commercial

Advisors represente­d the landlord, Courtlandt Tower II Ltd., a subsidiary of Baxter Constructi­on and Developmen­t Co.

Benjamin Moore Paint has leased 4,493 square feet at 6211 Stewart Road, Galveston. Ronnie Miranda of NewQuest Properties represente­d the landlord, Harold A. Clark & Co.-Galveston.

InSite Real Estate has purchased 1.2 acres near the northeast corner of Interstate 10 and Federal Road in East Houston from Baker Katz. The buyer plans to divide and develop the land at 1011-1015 Federal Road for retail sites, Baker Katz said.

Rocco 1 Restaurant has leased 3,250 square feet at Nottingham Village, 970 S. Fry Road, Katy. Rafael Melara represente­d the landlord, Hunington Properties.
