Gary Joseph Lidiak passed away peacefully November 4, 2018 surrounded by family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife Carolyn and children Robin Womack and husband James, Brian Lidiak and wife Joni; grandchild­ren Nathan and Lainey Womack, Evan, Graham and Keiton Lidiak; siblings Janis LeBleu and husband Kenny, Nina Barney and husband Jeff, and Tim Lidiak; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born April 30, 1945 to Leroy and Pauline Lidiak in Houston, TX, he attended Marion HS, University of St. Thomas, and Cornell University Graduate School. As First Vice President-Investment Officer of Wells Fargo Advisors, he dedicated many years to taking care of his clients. He served on the alumni board at UST, enjoyed painting and hunting. Most of all, he enjoyed taking his grandchild­ren on ATV rides at the ranch. He is remembered for his sense of humor, honesty, and his endless concern for his clients and friends.

A Visitation and Rosary for Gary was held Monday November 12, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 6800 Buffalo Speedway, Houston, TX 77025. The Funeral Mass was held on Tuesday November 13, 2018 at 1:30 pm at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Interment followed at Forest Park Westheimer, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077. Following the burial , all were invited to a reception to honor Gary.

David Dulock, Ray Slaughter, Jerry Swonke, Ed Winkler, Greg Bassett, and John Caram served as pallbearer­s.

Gary was a kind, thoughtful, compassion­ate, funny, and honorable man who met his illness with courage and grace. He will be greatly missed.
