Wanda June McNeely Peddie, of Houston, Texas, closed her beautiful blue eyes forever on November 20, 2018, surrounded by the people she loved. She had just turned 93.

Born in Riverton, Illinois, Wanda graduated as valedictor­ian from Riverton High School. She was a homemaker and business manager of her husband’s medical practice.

Her husband, George Peddie, and her parents, John and Chassie McNeely, preceded her in death. She is survived by sons Drake and Tod Peddie, daughter Collyn Peddie, grandsons Jacob, Gordon, and Daniel Peddie, granddaugh­ter Emma Peddie, daughters-in-law Sonia and Donna Peddie, and Darcy, her beloved kitty.

Her family thanks the nursing staff and doctors who cared for her at Methodist Hospital Alkek 9 and at Houston Hospice for their fine care during her final days. They also thank Drs. Stuart Jacobson, Aga Kuliev, Anatoli Krasko, Miguel Gomez, Uday Doctor, George Noon, and Ernest Bartimo, and the nursing staff at Fondren Orthopedic Hospital for making her final years as healthy and pain-free as possible.

An Interment is to be conducted at half-past twelve o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 1st of December at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway in Houston.

The memorial service is to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon in the ballroom of the Royalton, 3333 Allen Parkway in Houston.

Immediatel­y following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception in the ballroom.

In lieu of customary remembranc­es, those desiring may direct memorial contributi­ons in Wanda’s name to the Salvation Army of Greater Houston, and those desiring to send flowers please send directly to the Royalton.
