Martha Alice Rogers Lusk, 91, was born Aug 22, 1927 in Muncie, Indiana, and died Dec 5, 2018 of natural causes in Houston, Texas. She was the daughter of Errett Aaron Rogers and Bobbie “Bossie” Ray, and the widow of (Andrew) Lee Lusk, who preceded her in death in 2016. Martha was a graduate of the University of Houston, where she met her husband, Lee after WWII, and married Sep 15, 1950 in Houston, Texas. She was a devout Christian and member of the Memorial Drive United Methodist Church for over 40 years, participat­ing in the Choir and caring for those with the Alzheimer as part of church activities. She also volunteere­d at Spring Branch Hospital.

Martha was a loving wife for 66 years and mother, grandmothe­r, and greatgrand­mother. She is survived by her sons, Frank and wife, Lauren Matthews Lusk, Allen and wife, Catherine Zwack Lusk of Sugar Land; daughter Elizabeth and husband, Robert C. Meier III of Wimberley, Texas; grandsons, Dylan, Brenden, Anderson and Cooper Lusk all of Sugar Land, and Derek and Brandon Meier of Austin, Texas; and great-grandson, Remy; and nephew, Robin Lee Rogers and wife, Jan of Hawaii.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Errett Robert “Bob” Rogers in 2016 and Richard Bryan Rogers in 2005.

A viewing will be held at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home in Houston at 4:00 – 6:00 PM on Sunday, Dec 9, 2018 and a graveside service to celebrate her life will be held at Forest Park (Lawndale) Cemetery at 3:00 PM on Monday, Dec 10, 2018 with Rev. Michael Jarboe officiatin­g.
