HOMES, COMMUNITIES
Now is the season for giving and Highland Homes could not be more thrilled and honored to partner with organizations that allow them to give back to American heroes. The company is very proud of the homes they build, but this year they built two Houston-area homes of which they are specially proud.
One of these homes, was made possible by the partnership between Ashlar Development, Highland Homes, the Greater Houston Builders Association and Operation Finally Home. The building of this home involved more than 60 generous vendors donating labor, materials and other goods and services. This home, located in The Groves, will enable a very deserving veteran, his wife (also a veteran) and his family peace of mind, stability and enable them to focus on the future without having to worry about mortgage payments.
The family was recently given their keys at a dedication ceremony surrounded by the Patriot Guard Riders, family, American flags, neighbors, firefighters, other veterans and many more well-wishers. At this event, the family was surprised to learn that their home was also fully furnished and their HOA dues would be covered for a year.
The Groves community, in Humble, is a beautiful community featuring acres of parks, open spaces, wooded walking trails, natural reserves, a fishing pond, wonderful lifestyle center and a full-time lifestyle coordinator. Highland Homes builds on 40-foot, 50-foot and 60-foot lots in this community starting in the $210,000s, $290,000s and $420,000s.
The second home was a GHBA Benefit Home, which Highland Homes built in Balmoral. This home was built with donated land, construction management, materials, labor and services by GHBA members and was sold at market value with proceeds going to two local charities: HomeAid Houston and Operation Finally Home. This home recently sold and will be closing this month.
HomeAid Houston is an organization that builds hope and homes for Houston's homeless families, children and veterans through numerous projects, fundraisers and community outreach platforms.
