Lummis guides buyers, sellers through process
The location of a home remains one of the most important factors for buyers.
“You can buy the right home in the wrong location. Homes can experience large increases or decreases in value just due to location.
“You can change/remodel it or alter the layout but, typically, you cannot move it,” said Carmela Lummis, a Realtor with Sudhoff Companies.
Lummis’ focus area is in one of the most soughtafter areas, inside the Loop. Lummis, along with her partner, Blake Kunetka, are the exclusive agents for The River Oaks Condominiums.
“We have sold 85 percent and expect to sell out of the remaining inventory in the next few months. However, we still have a few good choices for twoand three-bedroom condos,” she said.
The River Oaks Condominiums is located in a premier neighborhood and focuses on a lifestyle that their buyers are seeking.
Lummis hails from Toronto, Canada, and has called Houston home for almost a decade. She has been in real estate for the past nine years.
“I grew up listening to real estate transactions taking shape around my family’s kitchen table,” Lummis said.
As an adult, Lummis continued her interest in real estate, buying and selling a number of homes, including many that were recently constructed or required major renovation.
“Real estate was a natural career move for me. My first career in banking and wealth management involved identifying clients’ needs, problem solving and helping clients to achieve their financial goals. As a real estate professional, I use those skills to guide my buyers and sellers to successfully achieve personal lifestyle goals by helping them purchase or sell a home,” Lummis said.
Lummis has also continued her real estate education to ensure her clients received the customer service.
She also speaks some Italian and French.
Lummis is known for her optimism, honesty and her clients trusting her. She is also entirely devoted to her clients, and works hard to ensure her clients reach the closing table from as smooth a path through the process as possible.
