Peter L. Finn, 72, of Friendswoo­d, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018 after complicati­ons from his four-year battle with lung cancer.

He is preceded in death by his father, Morton David Finn and his mother, Gloria Spellman Dale;

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis A. Finn; son, Peter Finn, Jr; daughters, Colleen Finn, Sherri Quesnel, Stephanie Shockey; son-in-law, Todd Quesnel; grandchild­ren, Madison Quesnel, Peyton Quesnel, Riley Quesnel and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Peter Finn was born March 18, 1946 in Washington D.C. He was the eldest of his two surviving brothers, Michael and Jeffrey and his surviving half-sister, Rosemary Hallgarten. Peter was a civil engineer and worked on light rail transporta­tion systems in both Washington, D.C. as well as in Saudi Arabia. He moved to Houston, Texas February of 1980 to work for Metro and retired from Metro in 2011. Peter had several hobbies, golfing and sailing. He loved racing in regattas on “Windswept” and “Mast Transit” with his racing crew, Michael Finn, John Henderson, Tom Price, Dan Mason and Todd Quesnel. Peter also loved being with family and friends.

Family and friends will have a celebratio­n of life memorial at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City, Texas.

He will be missed but never forgotten...
