A final salute to the oldest WWII veteran
An honor guard carries the casket of World War II veteran Richard Overton during a burial ceremony attended by hundreds Saturday at the Texas State Cemetery in Austin. Overton, who died at age 112 on Dec. 27, was the nation’s oldest WWII veteran and the oldest living man in the U.S. He was remembered for his love of country and joy for life.
