Schroder’s second half propels Thunder

OKLAHOMA CITY — Dennis Schroder scored all of his 19 points in the second half to help the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the San Antonio Spurs 122-112 on Saturday night.

Russell Westbrook had 24 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists for Oklahoma City. Schroder, a reserve point guard, went 0-for-4 from the field in the first half before going 8-for-13 after the break.

DeMar DeRozan led the Spurs with 18 points.

SUNS 102, NUGGETS 93

Kelly Oubre Jr. matched his career high with 26 points for the second time in three games and Phoenix beat visiting Denver, a victory for the team with the worst record in the Western Conference over the team with the best.

Nikola Jokic had 21 points and 10 rebounds for the Nuggets.

WOLVES 110, PELICANS 106

In Minneapoli­s, Karl-Anthony Towns had 27 points and a career-high 27 rebounds to help Minnesota hold off Anthony Davis and New Orleans for a victory that was the first at home for interim head coach Ryan Saunders.

Davis had 30 points and 14 rebounds for his 13th consecutiv­e double-double. Jrue Holiday added 25 points and seven assists for the Pelicans, who pulled within 108-106 on Holiday’s three-point play with 2:23 left.

PISTONS 109, CLIPPERS 104

Blake Griffin scored 44 points in his return to Staples Center for the first time against his former team as Detroit won at Los Angeles to snap a four-game skid.

Andre Drummond had 20 points and 21 rebounds for the Pistons. Danilo Gallinari led the Clippers with 23 points.

MAGIC 105, CELTICS 103

Aaron Gordon had 28 points and 12 rebounds, Terrence Ross scored 25 points, and Nikola Vucevic contribute­d 16 points and 13 rebounds as host Orlando held off Boston.

Evan Fournier had 18 points and five assists for the Magic. Kyrie Irving led Boston with 25 points and six assists.

Justise Winslow scored 26 points and Dwyane Wade had a huge blocked shot in the final seconds as host Miami beat Memphis.

JaMychal Green had 24 points and 11 rebounds for the Grizzlies.

Mavericks guard J.J. Barea, 34, tore his right Achilles tendon in a game against the Minnesota Timberwolv­es on Friday nght, a season-ending setback for a key Mavericks reserve.
