Barazandeh: Being your own landlord key

- By Rebecca Maitland CORRESPONDENT

Vicki Barazandeh, a Realtor with Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty, highly recommends owning at least one home.

“Be your own landlord. The real estate market is cyclical. If the market goes down, it will go back up. If you sell during the down time, you can take advantage and buy during the down time. If you buy during the up time, then you can make it up by selling during the up time. But eventually, after several cycles, the value will continue rising,” Barazandeh said.

She has been in the real estate industry for 20 years, and has seen the market’s cycles and fluctuations.

“I was a business owner and grew up in a family where my relatives were architects and builders, and so is my husband. I grew to love architecture, design and aesthetic beauty. New construction design is one of the most expensive forms of art. I represent several of Houston’s best builders,” Barazandeh said.

Prior to real estate, Barazandeh was a teacher, and established and owned an accredited preschool and elementary school.

“Like a teacher, you have to wear many hats in real estate. Some of the most successful real estate agents are ex-teachers, namely Martha Turner,” she said.

Barazandeh’s main focus areas are inside the Loop, west Houston and a sprinkle of other areas.

In these areas, there is a mixture of all types of homes, people and activities, and it is always a good time to buy.

Barazandeh has called Houston home since elementary school.

“I love all Houston offers, such as large-city incentives with a low cost of living and some of the friendliest people in the world,” Barazandeh said.

She is an award-winning Realtor with many honors and awards on her resume, such as Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty’s Circle of Excellence and consecutive Top Producer for the past 15 years. She has also continued her education to ensure that her clients receive the best possible service. A few of her designations/certifications include having her broker licenses, Negotiation Expert, and Luxury Real Estate.

Barazandeh is known for working really hard for her buyers and sellers. For example, she ensures listings are aesthetically pleasing to attract buyers, and she also helps her clients find homes that will hold their resale value. But most of all, she works to ensure the transaction process is as smooth as possible and her clients reach the closing table with smiles.
