-

Virginia Lee Watson Melville, born December 6th, 1937 in Amarillo, Texas, second daughter to Wally and Betty Watson, joined her family and friends in heaven on February 1st, 2019. She graduated from Classen High School in Oklahoma City, and attended the University of Oklahoma where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority, meeting many dear friends. Her parents had been transferred to Beaumont, Texas, so she joined them there, where she worked for Sun Oil Company. Later, she moved to Houston, Texas where she met her future husband, Harold Melville, Jr. formerly of New Orleans, Louisiana, who preceded her in death on August 29th, 2018. They had three children -- Lea, Jenifer, and Mark, and three grandchildren -- Sean, Maggie, and Madalyn, and shared fifty-six wonderful years together.

Virginia joined Harold in a love for the game of golf and was a member of the Quail Valley WGA accomplishing many feats in various tournaments over the years. She became a Silver Life Master in the American Contract Bridge League. She enjoyed times with special friends in birthday clubs and was known as the life of the party in her circle of friends. Virginia loved life, and her joy for living was contagious. She will be greatly missed by many.

Survived by Lea and Mark Melville of Houston, Texas, Jenifer McIntyre of Livermore, California, her sister Shirley Watson Crenshaw of Houston, Texas, her grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
