Realtor continues family tradition in real estate
Brittany Hansen Cassin, a Realtor with John Daugherty Realtors, is a third-generation Houstonian and her husband, a fifth-generation Houstonian, runs his family’s fourth-generation company in the home building industry.
So, by osmosis, Cassin’s knowledge of residential construction continues to grow.
Plus, she knows Houston and the surrounding neighborhoods extremely well.
“I love knowing indepth knowledge and history of the different neighborhoods, as well as schools, restaurants and lifestyles depending on the area,” Cassin said.
Her focus area is inside Loop 610, Tanglewood, Briargrove and Memorial.
It is always a great time to buy or sell inside the Loop.
“Plus, we are coming up on the prime time of the year in real estate, which is spring,” Cassin said.
Cassin has spent nearly her entire life living, working and playing in the Inner Loop. She grew up in Tanglewood and River Oaks, and currently lives in the Galleria area.
She has been a Realtor over a decade and has seen the market fluctuate. Yet, even with the fluctuations, the Inner Loop continues to be hot.
Prior to real estate Cassin studied photography and business at University of Southern California and worked in advertising and public relations for a few years after college. Then the real estate bug hit, and the skills she had gained fit well.
“I absolutely love exploring homes and helping people find their new home, neighborhood or are brand new to the city. One of my most favorite elements of my job is getting to see client’s before and after with renovations,” Cassin said.
During Cassin’s first year in real estate, she received the Rising Star award.
She is also one of John Daugherty, Realtors’ top producers and a member of its Society of Distinction.
She has also continued her education and has earned the Accredited Buyer’s Representative certification and holds a Graduate, Realtor Institute designation.
Cassin is known for being a great at mutlitasker, being calm, easy going, respectful and works well with diverse personalities.
She is also available to her clients almost around the clock.
“Having been in the business for over a decade and working in a city I deeply love makes this the best job in the world,” Cassin said.
