Hooper helps buyers through purchase process
Buying or listing a home can be a financial, informational and emotional event, and best done with a great real estate agent as your working partner.
“I work with many first-time home buyers and I like helping them understand the purchasing process, from lending, underwriting through contract closing. The first home purchase — be it a condo, townhouse or single-family home — can also be wrought with hopes, fears and expectations. As an agent, I love helping buyers ‘see’ properties they are viewing from all the important perspectives, and being aware of the buyer’s emotional perspectives that exist. Helping them identify the perfect place is wonderful,” said Patricia Hooper, a Realtor with Sudhoff and listing agent at Four Seasons Luxury Rental Apartments and new construction condos at 1011 Studemont on Washington Ave.
The Washington Avenue corridor, one of the hottest development districts inside the Loop, is being driven by smart and unique developments, and a focus on urban public transit.
“This area glistens with new eateries, retailers, and the art district. It is minutes from downtown, the Med Center, and easy access to major freeways. It’s a great time to buy on the Washington corridor and Sawyer Heights,” Hooper said.
Hooper hails from Washington D.C., went to college in Richmond, Virginia, moved to the San Francisco Bay area, and came to Houston eight years ago.
“I love this city, its diversity, its food — its urban Texas,” Hooper said.
Prior to real estate, Hooper owned a national distribution firm selling high-end architectural products for use in large residential and commercial developments.
She also was a leasing agent in property management. She has been a licensed real estate agent for the past six years.
“I chose real estate because I like working with people, and I think Houston offers a huge potential for buyers, sellers and investors,” Hooper said.
Hooper is known for being personable, friendly, polite and a good listener. She is also honest; has a sense of humor and genuinely enjoys working with people, helping them find their dream abode.
Her big heart for people and pets shows through her customer service, going the extra mile for each client, and fostering baby kittens for Houston SPCA before they go to their “fur-ever home.”
