Q: I have been reading that Apple will be getting rid of iTunes. How will I keep my music library intact once Apple does this?

A: Apple will give you the tools you need to manage your music library within the new Apple operating system using dedicated applications.

Music will be managed using Apple Music.

With the release of Catalina, you will no longer use iTunes to sync your device. Instead, you’ll see your device in the sidebar of Finder when it is connected and from there you can sync, back up, update and restore your device as needed.

From what I am reading, you will still have all of your curated playlists and music history available in the Apple Music app.

Of course that’s all well and good for Mac users, but what about Windows users? Fret not, Apple will continue to provide the Windows version of iTunes for the PC, meaning that there are no changes on the horizon for how you manage your Apple devices.

That may well change in the future. But it doesn’t look like it’s happening anytime soon.

Q: I have a problem with Windows 10 that has been going on for a while now. Whenever I click on a link in an email, it will not open unless the default browser is set to Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer. How can I get back to having links open in Chrome?

A: Generally speaking, when you make a change to your default applications the change should simply just work. But there are occasions when that’s not true.

I would recommend that you uninstall any browser other than Edge and Internet Explorer and then reboot the computer.

After the reboot, open Edge or Internet Explorer and download the installer for your browser of your choice and install it.

Once installed, go ahead and run the application and you should be prompted to allow the application to become your default browser.

That should clear up this issue for you.
