Woman killed crossing freeway

A woman was struck by a car and killed around 2 a.m. Saturday after she tried to cross the Katy Freeway.

Several people reported that a woman was walking on the freeway near the Energy Corridor shortly before the collision, Houston Police Lt. Christopher Bruce said. The driver called police after the crash and remained on scene.

“He's not at fault,” Bruce said. The woman has not yet been identified.
