Domain hosting can be tough
Registration, however, is a relatively simple process to do
Q: I would like to register my own domain name for my website, but have no idea how to go about it. Can you point me in the right direction?
A: All you have to do is go to a domain registration site like go daddy.com or gandi.net and check to see if your domain is available. You can usually type in the domain you are interested in right there on the main page.
If it is available the site will tell you so and offer you the opportunity to register the domain with them. Most registrations run anywhere from $10 to $35 per year of registration.
While domain registration is simple, it’s all the other stuff that makes it complicated.
Once you have your domain you will need to pay for the services that will host your website.
Most domain registrars offer complete packages for the registration and the hosting of the site, as well as email and other domain services.
If you want to host your own site you might want to work with someone who does this for a living to make sure you are covering all the bases.
Q: What’s your opinion of these inkjet refill kits?
A: Personally, I do not use the refill kits or thirdparty ink cartridges. They can be messy and the color quality is often not as good as the manufacturer’s ink. I have also read that the ink can be of such an inferior quality that it will actually clog the print nozzles and render the printer useless over time.
I prefer to use the ink made by the manufacturer so as to preserve the life of my printer.
That said, I have heard from several of my readers that they have had good luck with refills and find the value far outweighs the hassle and the risk.
If you do decided to use a refill kit, try to find one from a reputable dealer.
