PLANT BLASTS IN SE TEXAS
Two explosions over a span of 13 hours rocked a Port Neches chemical plant on Wednesday, injuring workers and a few residents, damaging homes and businesses, and prompting a series of mandatory evacuations while firefighters worked to put out the inferno. The blasts at the plant, owned by Houston-based Texas Petrochemical Group, come just days after the Environmental Protection Agency rolled back chemical safety regulations.
