HistoryMaker builds GHBA Benefit home in Sierra Vista

-

HistoryMaker Homes and Land Tejas have partnered to build a Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) Benefit Home, one of three being built in 2019. HistoryMaker is donating construction management as they work with their vendors, suppliers and trades to acquire donated materials and services. Land Tejas enters this partnership with their 17th Benefit home lot donation.

Each year two to three homes are built for the Benefit Homes Project with donated land, materials and services by GHBA members. The homes offer a variety of the most popular features and amenities on the market today. They are sold at market value and proceeds benefit HomeAid Houston and Operation Finally Home. Since the fundraiser began 39 years ago, more than $11million has been raised.

“We are excited to participate in the Benefit Homes Project by building our two-story Alder Plan,” said HistoryMaker Houston division president, Mickey Pizzitola. “We value the work that the two charities who will benefit, provide our community. It is an honor to work with the Land Tejas team and our generous vendors, trades and suppliers.”

The Alder plan is a 3,176square-foot, two-story home featuring an open design with five bedrooms, four bathrooms, a threecar garage, a downstairs master bedroom and a game room up.

Vendors joining the HistoryMaker/Land Tejas team with their donated materials and services include, Deep Blue, Advantage Gutter, Builders First Source, Excell Foundations, Texas Window Industries, MHS Electric LLC, DPIS Engineering, Universal Forest Products, Reyes Painting, Hurricane

Construction, Flooring Services of Texas, Creative Landscape Solutions, Allpoints Surveying and Rock Materials.

Family owned and operated since 1949, HistoryMaker Homes launched in DallasFort Worth and expanded over the decades to become a premier builder of more than 800 homes across the region in 16 developments.

“HistoryMaker has entered the Houston market with beautiful line-up of designs,” said Terry Swenson, PR director of the GHBA. “They were familiar with the Benefit

Homes Project and were quick to commit to participate in 2019. Building their Alder plan in partnership with Land Tejas, a long time supporter of the GHBA, is a win for both the future home buyer and the two charities receiving the proceeds from the sale. We can’t thank them enough for their generosity.”
