Miss Kimberly Ann Parratt Weds Mr. Troy John Gouveia

Miss Kimberly Ann Parratt and Mr. Troy John Gouveia were united in marriage on November 9, 2019 at three o’clock in the afternoon on the snowy, mountain lawn at Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort & Spa in Beaver Creek, CO. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Reverend Howard E. Caesar of Houston, TX.

An outdoor cocktail reception proceeded on the Gerald R. Ford Patio, followed by a grand black-tie wedding reception with cocktails, dinner and nonstop dancing in the majestic Sawatch Hall of the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Hotel.

On the eve of the wedding, the parents of the groom hosted a beautiful rehearsal dinner in the Grand Bohemian Art Gallery of the Beaver Creek Lodge, followed by a Welcome Party at The Brass Bear Bar in the lobby of the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Hotel.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Garrold Parratt of Richmond, Texas. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nigel Gouveia of Toronto, Canada.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a Jenny Yoo gown, white fur stole and Christian Louboutin Degrastras­s shoes. The ivory sleeveless gown of silk taffeta featured a dramatic deep V-neckline and open back. The full A-line skirt fell into a soft sweeping train. To compliment her gown, the bride chose a handmade light ivory illusion cathedral veil edged with ivory satin designed by Debra Moreland. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet composed of white majolica spray roses, white ranunculus, white garden roses and dusty miller.

Serving as her Maid of Honor was her older sister, Brandy Parratt, and her Matron of Honor was Mrs. Sarah McMichael Coughlin. Bridesmaid­s included: the groom’s sister, Brooke Gouveia; Kimberly’s cousin, Lauren Kirby; sorority sisters: Mrs. Kasi Geraci Tramel, Brianna Hebert, Nicole Watson, and Bridget Beliveau; and close friends: Katie Orth, Abby Maxwell and Katrine Reddin. The bridesmaid­s all wore elegant black one-shoulder gowns with black fur stoles.

Joel Gouveia, brother of the groom, served as Best Man. Groomsmen included: Kimberly’s younger brother, Kevin Parratt, Troy’s cousin, Chris Gouveia, and best friends: Dylan Fox, Robert Irving, Curtis Stobo, Blair Cuthbert, Andrew Wang, Alexander Payne, Matthew Burns, and Ben Hudson. The men all wore black Joseph Abboud custom tuxedos.

Their impeccable wedding planner, Natalie Plentl, of Plan Our Day Houston, handled all the wedding details to perfection, managing vendors from both Texas and Colorado.

Kimberly is a graduate of Fort Bend Christian Academy in Sugar Land, Texas. She is a former barrel racer and soccer player. She attended Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX and graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science Emphasis in Pre-Law, major in Political Science and minors in History and Criminal Justice. Kimberly is a lifetime member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. After college she briefly attended Baylor Law School in Waco, TX. In 2019, Kimberly graduated from the Institute for Integrativ­e Nutrition’s health coaching program. Kimberly then passed the Board Certificat­ion exam to become an IAHC Certified Internatio­nal Health Coach and is practicing in Houston, Texas.

Troy is a graduate of Aurora High School in Ontario, Canada. He is a former baseball player and hockey player. He attended Seneca College and graduated with a degree in Fire Protection Engineerin­g Technology in 2014. From there he went to Texas A&M Extension Fire Training Academy in College Station, TX where he completed the TEEX Firefighte­r Recruit Academy program. The groom is currently employed as an Engineer in Houston, Texas.

Following their honeymoon in Hawaii the couple will reside in Houston, Texas with their 5 yr. old Maltese dog, Bella.
