Miss Rebecca Christine Little Weds Mr. William Collins Owen

Miss Rebecca Christine Little and Mr. William Collins Owen were united in marriage on March 23, 2019 at six o’clock in the evening at Central Presbyterian Church in Austin, Texas. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Pastor Luke Gordon of The Lakeway Church. Music for the ceremony was provided by the Terra Vista Strings. Bible readings were delivered by Sally Stewart and Dorcas Leung. A reception followed at The Line with entertainment provided by Simply Irresistible of Atlanta and DJ Baby Roo of Austin. On the eve of the wedding, the parents of the groom hosted a festive rehearsal dinner at Mattie’s at Green Pastures. Grandmother Eunice Gleason and Aunt Faith Gleason Cordray hosted a bridal luncheon at Josephine House.

The bride is the daughter of Keith and Julia Little of Houston. She is the granddaughter of Col. Frank and Eunice Gleason and Peter and Abie Little, both of Atlanta, Georgia. The groom is the son Mark and Sonia Owen of Houston. He is the grandson of Bertha and Jose Guerra of Austin and Eugene and Naomi Owen of Houston.

Rebecca was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. She carried a bouquet of flowers carried by other generations of women from her family.

The bride’s party included matron of honor Caroline Little Wight, Sara Owen, Emily Owen Owens, Lauren McCleary Little, Christy Kottwitz, Sunny Krishnan, Camille Morrow, Sofie Rinaudo, Martha Lauren Treat, Ellen Wagner and Claudia Willis. A large house party supported the wedding.

The groom’s party included best man Cooper Day, Harrison Little, Jordan Owens, Danny Arnold, John Beck, Kyle Cunningham, Baxter Easley, Garrett Huffines, Steve Owen, Jr., Jesse Riffert and Blaine Simmons. The ushers were Seth Wight, Christian Middleton and Graham Bayley.

Rebecca is a 2011 graduate of Stratford High School in Houston. She attended the University of Texas at Austin, graduated in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering, and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. Rebecca works for Parsley Energy in Austin.

Will is a 2011 graduate of Stratford High School in Houston. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, graduated in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in geology, and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. Will works for Yeti in Austin.

The couple reside happily in Austin with canine partner Bear and feline partners Toulouse and Oliver.
