Lately: The Rockets loss to the Warriors on Wednesday snapped a five-game road winning streak before coming home for one game Saturday against the Nets. The Pelicans began a home back-to-back on Saturday after road wins against the Trail Blazers and Nuggets, giving them wins in three games in a four-game road trip since a 13-game losing streak.

Scouting the Rockets: The Rockets have won 15 of their past 20 games against the Pelicans, including both meetings this season. … The Rockets made just 29.1 percent of their 3-pointers against the Pelicans this season. … The Rockets are 2-1 in the second half of back-to-backs this season. … James Harden has averaged 34 points against the Pelicans this season but made just 5 of 29 3-pointers in those games with as many turnovers (14) as assists. Harden is averaging 39.8 points per game in 48 percent shooting and 41.7 percent 3-point shooting in road games this season … Guard Russell Westbrook is scheduled to sit out the second half of the back-to-back. … Guard Eric Gordon is scheduled to return after missing 22 games following arthroscop­ic knee surgery. He had a season-high 17 points in New Orleans in his final game before the surgery.

Scouting the Pelicans: The Pelicans rank 27th in defensive rating but are sixth in the seven games since Derrick Favors’ return from an eight-game absence (all Pelicans losses) for personal reasons. … New Orleans is 3-2 in the second half of back-to-backs this season. … The Pelicans are fourth in the NBA in 3-pointers made, fifth in attempts per game. … Forward Brandon Ingram is one of seven NBA players averaging at least 25 points, seven rebounds and 3.5 assists. … Guard Jrue Holiday leads the NBA in deflection­s per game and is eighth in steals and loose balls recovers. He is one of four players, along with James Harden, Russell Westbrook and Jimmy Butler, to average at least 19.5 points, five rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.5 steals. … Guard J.J. Redick is second in the NBA in 3-point percentage, making 45.8 percent, among players making at least two per game and who have played in at least 10 games.

Injury report: Rockets — Guard Gerald Green (left foot surgery) and centers Nene (strained adductor) and Clint Capela (bruised right heel) are out. Pelicans — Forwards Darius Miller (right Achilles surgery) and Zion Williamson (right knee surgery) are out.
