Greenwood King celebrates 2019, donates to Star of Hope

-

Greenwood King Properties celebrated the 2019 holiday season with the annual, all-company luncheon held at Brennan’s of Houston in early December.

Welcomed by company co-founder and owner Linda King, the agents, management, and staff enjoyed pre-luncheon Christmas cheer as a harpist played seasonal melodies.

“Everyone in our company works very hard all year long and it’s great to kick back, socialize, and appreciate what we’ve achieved,” said King. “All of us look forward to this event with great anticipation. When this holiday luncheon rolls around, we know we’re in the home stretch.”

After remarks by Lorraine Abercrombie, vice president of marketing, lunch began with a salad or Brennan’s signature turtle soup.

Clothing drive

In addition to the celebratory luncheon, the company held a clothing drive benefitting Star of Hope Mission.

Star of Hope has offered comprehensive programs for daily care and long-term solutions to homelessness in Houston since 1907.

Donations of gently used or new clothing were dropped off at the three Greenwood King Properties offices at 3201 Kirby Drive, 1616 S. Voss #900, and 1801 Heights Blvd., and collected by Star of Hope prior to Dec. 25.

The company also provided a link on its website to allow donations directly to Star of Hope through Amazon.com.
