Remodelers Council celebrates its members

As this year ends, the Greater Houston Builders Associatio­n’s Remodelers Council celebrated its annual holiday party at Fratelli’s in Houston for an evening of fun, food and holiday spirit.

The Greater Houston Builders Associatio­n (GHBA) Remodelers Council (RMC) is an organizati­on of remodelers, designers, suppliers, manufactur­ers and industry associates.

Dedicated to the promotion of excellence and profession­alism within the organizati­on, achieved through education, certificat­ion and service to the membership, industry and the community.

At this event, the Council recognizes members who have gone above and beyond in their service to the Remodelers Council. The annual presentati­on of the “Of the Year Awards,” board recognitio­ns of Presidenti­al Citations, and the installati­on of the next years Remodelers Council board members are done.

The 2019 Remodelers Council’s president Sherry Pruitt of Whodid It Designs and Remodeling presented awards to members of the Remodelers Council 2019 Board:

• Larry Abbott of Abbott Contractin­g, immediate past president

• William Cole of Divine Renovation­s, vice president

• Jeff Roberts of TriFection Remodeling & Constructi­on, secretary and government affairs representa­tive

• Stephen Twarowski of SHR Remodeling, secretary and garage sale co-chair

• Nicholas Cubbler of Semper Fi Contractor­s, treasurer

• Trudy Traino of Home Show & Remodeling Guide

• Sandra Crook of Greymark Constructi­on, education chair

• Courtney Turner of Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting, for organizing the speed selling event, Sandcastle and this holiday party. In addition, Turner was named Associate of the Year.

• Scooter Nicholson of BMC and co-special events chair for an outstandin­g job with the Speed Selling event, Sandcastle and the holiday party

• Lorraine Hart of Ideal Consulting/Websites by Ideal for recruiting and organizing speakers every month while getting associates to sponsor the lunches

• Melanie Heinrich of TriFection Remodeling & Constructi­on, the charity project co-chair

• Tenile Luttenegge­r of Emser Tile, an active membership chair who attended all the meetings

• Cassie Milam of The Detering Company, charity project co-chair

• Amy Robinson, the face of the Remodelers Council and public relations chair

• Courtney Turner, Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting, was named Remodelers Council Associate of the Year. Other award recipients for going above and beyond included: The Ark Cast Stone Crew, Ron Stevens Crew, Desiree Guillory-Interior Designer, Adam Kelly of BMC, Chris & Michelle Bolio of Alair Homes, Liv & Mete Kocak of Steadfast Stone Crafters, LLC, Juana Reyes of RAM Windows, Hector Zamarripa and Zak Galla of Sherwin Williams Paint Co., and John Gillette of Craftsmans­hip By John.

The 12th Annual Remodelers Council Garage Sale will be at the Cy-Fair Home and Garden Show March 21-22 at the Berry Center.

All proceeds will be used to fund local charity projects.
