Miss Elise Adriana Lubanko Weds Mr. Jeremy Newcomb McKinney

Miss Elise Adriana Lubanko and Mr. Jeremy Newcomb McKinney were united in marriage on January 4, 2020, at half past six o’clock in the evening at The Corinthian in Houston, Texas. The double ring ceremony was officiated by Judge Caroline Baker Hurley of Houston, Texas. Divisi Strings provided music for the ceremony. Dinner and dancing followed, with entertainment supplied by The Big Beyond. On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Ragin’ Cajun.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Lubanko of Houston, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Gregory Smith of Houston, Texas and Mary Anne Ewald and the late Walter Alexander Lubanko of Glen Cove, New York.

The groom is the son of Deandra Lynn Newcomb and Ricky Eugene McKinney of Clear Lake, Texas. He is the grandson of Bill Vernon and Bobby Lynne Newcomb of Huntsville, Texas, and the late Ruth Edna Corley and the late John Willis Corley of Midway, Texas.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore an off-the-shoulder gown designed by Martina Liana. The bride carried a bouquet of white roses, hydrangeas, stephanotis and white orchids.

Serving as the bride’s matron of honor was her sister, Kaia Lubanko Kessler of Houston. Bridesmaids were Brooke Bohus of Pocatello, Meghan Cavazos of Houston, Sara Eardensohn of Boston, Kathryn Fragomeni of Providence, Mari Treviño Glass of Houston, Taylor Guetschow of Girdwood, Hanna Madrigan of Los Angeles, Kimberly Falgout Scheele of Houston, Abby Stanislaw of Santa Fe, and Pauline Stevens of Shoreham. Caroline Kessler and Jessamine Kessler, the bride’s nieces, served as junior bridesmaid and flower girl, respectively. House Party included Amber Elliott and Lexi Sakowitz Marek, both of Houston.

Serving the groom as best man was his brother, Joshua Daniel McKinney of Houston. Groomsmen were Dante Bailey of Houston, Charlie Dickson Junior of Houston, Cory Dunaway of Winnie, Tyler Helm of New Orleans, Jordan Hernandez of Denver, Justin Kessler of Houston, Kyle Tuck of Houston, Ryan Peña of Houston, and Anthony Zamora of League City. Serving as Ushers were Zach Bazzy of Austin, Travis Beyner of Houston, and Garrett Mitchell of Houston.

Elise graduated Northfield Mount Hermon School in Gill, Massachusetts in 2007. She attended the University of Alaska, graduating in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology. She is currently a law student at South Texas College of Law and works at Castex Energy, Inc.

Jeremy is a 2006 graduate of Clear Lake High School, in Clear Lake, Texas. He graduated from Tulane University in 2011, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Masters degree in Accounting. Jeremy currently works as a Financial Analyst with Occidental Petroleum.

Following their honeymoon in Turks and Caicos, the couple will reside in

Houston, Texas with their two dogs, Aly and Lucy.
