Cane Island youngsters attend Katy ISD schools

-

With quality of schools ranking among the most important selling points of a master-planned community, Cane Island continues to bring home A+ grades thanks to its public schools, all part of the award-winning Katy Independent School District.

Katy ISD received an overall district rating of “A” under the 2018 Texas state accountability system.

More than 1,800 Katy ISD students participated in the 2018 ACT testing and as a district, had a higher average score in all four categories than the state and national averages.

Have an aspiring musician in the family? For the 15th year, Katy ISD was named one of the nation’s “Best Communities for Music Education” by the National Association of Music Merchants (www.namm.org).

Plus, the district is a responsible stewardship of tax dollars having passed a $609 million bond in 2017 without a tax rate increase.

Cane Island residents receive a challenging, yet well-rounded education at Katy ISD’s Bryant Elementary School, now in its third year, and at longtime Katy ISD schools Katy Junior High School and Katy High School, all of them within proximity to the community.
