CANE ISLAND

The Katy community of Cane Island has added to its collection of parks and playgrounds with a unique family setting where residents enjoy pickleball, a children’s playground and free books available in all-weather mini-libraries. Cane Island’s Paperback Park has opened as one of the few locales in Katy to offer courts for pickleball along with a toddler park, children’s playground, Splash Pad, synthetic lawn play area, basketball and volleyball courts, and shaded pavilion. Paperback Park also is home to several mini-libraries, small book-sharing units installed by Little Free Library, one of the world’s largest book-sharing movements.
