REALTOR OF THE WEEK

- By Rebecca Maitland

Tabatha Urech focuses on Memorial West.

Strong relationships are everything. Real estate transactions can — and should be — a win-win for buyers and sellers, but a transaction can go south if the parties are not able to work together.

“For sellers, choosing a reputable agent who connects with other agents and potential buyers will translate to a quicker, smoother sale. For buyers, working with an agent who maintains strong relationships with inspectors, contractors and other agents is invaluable when it comes time to negotiate,” said Tabatha Urech, a Realtor Greenwood King Properties.

Realtors can provide value by leveraging strong relationships to score critical information about a neighborhood. That is something comps and technology cannot provide; there is no substitute for the human element.

“My primary focus is Memorial West. Eight years, two homes and three kids later, my ties to the community and familiarity with homes in the area is unsurpassed. However, I go where my clients want to go. As a native Houstonian and a graduate of University of Houston, I’ve yet to encounter an area of town my personal network didn’t reach,” Urech said.

During the pandemic, homes remain on the market and buyers are buying.

“I listed a home earlier this month and received an offer after a busy week of showings. Much of what I am seeing both on the buy and sell side is relocation focused or growing families looking for more space. Houston has many sought-after school districts, which generates a lot of activity in the springtime, so even in the mist of the pandemic it doesn’t dampen that urgency for able buyers,” Urech said.

Prior to the pandemic, filming a virtual tour of a home wasn’t necessary, but now it’s the new normal, and is very beneficial to those relocating.

Urech jumped into real estate after three personal real estate transactions, which planted the seed. She obtained her licenses and has never looked back.

Prior to real estate, Urech worked in public accounting for 13 years, where she honed her problem-solving and collaboration skills. As a licensed CPA, she took the role of trusted adviser very seriously and that is something that has carried into her real estate career.

Urech is also a certified Project Management Professional, which also benefits her clients.

She is known for her integrity, her knowledge and competency for real estate. She also is a people person and loves helping clients find the right home. In fact, her clients’ rating is 5 out of 5, which speaks volumes of her services.
