Ruedas: The time to purchase a home is right now
Despite the present economic situation, the best time to buy a house is when you can afford it.
“Plus, interest rates are at a historic low, so now is the right time to buy, sale or refinance,” said Maria Alejandra Ruedas, Realtor with Martha Turner Sotheby’s International Realty.
Ruedas has been in real estate for eight years, and lives in her focus area, which is the Katy-Fulshear area.
“Even though I focus on the Katy-Fulshear area, I am available for any other part of the city. My experience allows me to assess the market to provide clients with an accurate analysis and suggestions to market their homes in all areas.
“The same applies to buyers when it comes to what is the best location for them and the right price to offer on a home,” Ruedas said.
Ruedas was born and raised in Venezuela and is bilingual in Spanish/English. She came to the United States 16 years ago.
“I am proud to be a naturalized citizen of the USA. I am so grateful to be in this country that I call home,” Ruedas said.
Prior to moving to
America, and prior to real estate, Ruedas worked in the oil and gas industry, in the accounting department in her home country.
“My family and I first settled in Miami, Florida, where I was an entrepreneur for an Italian kitchen cabinets and furniture store, and I had my own store. Then, my family and I made the decision to move to Texas.
“We fell in love with Houston and have been here ever since,” Ruedas said.
Running and operating her own business gave her the opportunity to interact with a diverse group of people, providing a service. Designing customers’ dream kitchen gave her so much satisfaction that she realized anything she would do moving forward would have to be related to service and sales. This experience also sharpened her negotiation skills. Then she found real estate.
“I love to help people, and I found real estate to be the perfect fit, because I am able to provide a service,” Ruedas said.
Ruedas is known for her honesty and putting clients’ needs first. She is an extrovert, which makes it easy for her to work with all people. She is also loyal, committed, ethical, and guides clients to the right path. She is also positive and energetic, and an Accredited Buyer Representative.
