Even though some things have changed, real estate is still in demand.

“Things are happening more remotely now. In fact, a title company sent a notary to the sellers’ and buyers’ homes, and then back to the title company, funding ensued. I met the buyers at their new house with the keys,” said Lizzie Corona, a Realtor with Greenwood

King Properties.

Open houses are often virtual, too, if not then sanitizer and cleansing wipes are readily available.

“Everyone is coming together to ensure business continues. Plus, I expect mortgage rates to remain low and more homes to come on the market,” Corona said.

Corona’s primary focus is

west Houston, but due to living in many areas, she is familiar with inside the Loop, West University, Heights, and Bellaire.

She also has had clients in Cypress and Katy. She goes where clients are interested.

Corona obtained her license in 2008 and began working for Greenwood

King. She spent her first year working for top agents, learning firsthand about the industry.

“It was a crash course and I loved it. When I started working as full-service, fulltime agent in 2009, I was more than ready,” Corona said.

Corona also has real estate “in her DNA.”

“Growing up in Little Rock my grandfather was a builder. I went with him to building sites and open houses. My mother also flipped homes with me by her side,” Corona said.

At Southern Methodist

University, Corona majored in English and studied journalism. She also earned a yoga teaching certification and began teaching. In 2007, she was relocated to Houston to open a franchise.

“I had been in Houston six months and was dealing with all aspects of running the studio, but realized real estate was my passion. I taught yoga in college and was thankful that it brought

me to Houston. Real estate is all I have done since,” Corona said.

Corona is known for being a true people person; clients are her top priority. She is known for being available, honest and transparent, with excellent negotiation skills. She maintains a list of contacts to help clients, and is organized, staying in touch with clients. She also works long hours to ensure everything

goes smoothly. Most of all, she loves helping people.

Her experience and passion for clients’ goals have led to her having a five-star client rating on HAR.com. She also enjoys working with first-time home buyers, walking them through every step.

“The bottom line is I love what I do and I cannot imagine doing anything else,” Corona said.
