Margaritaville Resort plans tours on Lake Conroe starring the 80-foot ‘Little Palm’
The first Margaritaville Resort in Texas will soon offer yacht tours on Lake Conroe.
The resort is partnering with the developer of Waterpoint on Lake Conroe, vice president for sales and marketing Tom Faust said.
Both are working to move the double deck 80-foot Yacht Charter “Little Palm” over to Margaritaville.
“The Lake Conroe area has been ready for something as exciting as Margaritaville to join in on the fun the lake already provides,” said Waterpoint Developer James Winkler. “Any reason for us to spend more time out on the lake, we are up for.”
The yacht will dock directly behind the resort tower and offer food and beverage samples with catering services by Margaritaville Lake Conroe.
“Little Palm will be able to pick up guests directly from the resort and go out to enjoy the size, views and sunsets of Lake Conroe,” Winkler said.
The 186-acre Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake Conroe | Houston is the 22nd lodging location in Margaritaville’s portfolio. The resort, which has some limitations due to the novel coronavirus , offers a waterfront 20-story tower, 303 suites, 32 lakeside cottages, 80 boat slips, five bar-and-grill restaurants and a 3-acre water park.
The spa has been renovated and includes relaxation and steam rooms, saunas, at least six salon chairs, a barber chair, retails items, a miniature golf game in the locker room.
Lake Conroe’s Margaritaville site also features a 1,200 squarefoot deck, Waterpoint Landing, which will accommodate about 75 people. Faust said the resort will primarily use the deck for receptions, including weddings, but it may also be used for other special events.
The Jolly Mon Water park includes a lazy river, pools, waterslides, a splash zone and a yearround heated pool. The resort is considering offering a day-pass option to the public.
Other recreational activities and amenities include an 18-hole golf course, a miniature golf course, pickleball and tennis courts, a 10,000-square-foot Fins Up Fitness Center, and an 18,000square-foot St. Somewhere Spa. Boat rentals are also available on site.
The resort, previously La Torretta Resort & Spa, has completed soft renovations of 72,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
“To successfully transport guests to the Margaritaville state of mind, the design of the suites is focused on weaving inspirations and interpretations from the surrounding lake into the guest suite design,” the resort information stated. “The attention to detail in the finishes and custom elements — down to the specific color tone and texture — combine to create an immersive, collective experience that induces a sense of calm and relaxation.”
