Yanks edge Mets, end 7-game slide

NEW YORK — Clint Frazier scored the winning run on Dellin Betances’ wild pitch in the ninth inning, and the Yankees averted their longest losing streak in a quartercen­tury Saturday with a 2-1 victory over the crosstown Mets.

J.A. Happ pitched brilliantl­y into the eighth at Yankee Stadium and Luke Voit homered as the Yankees stopped a seven-game slide.

DODGERS 7, RANGERS 4: Max Muncy drove in four runs and Cody Bellinger homered as Los Angeles won on the road.

PHILLIES 4, BRAVES 1: Rhys Hoskins had three hits, including a three-run homer, and Zach Eflin pitched seven strong innings to lead host Philadelph­ia to its fifth straight victory.

CUBS, REDS SPLIT A PAIR: Yu Darvish scattered seven hits over six innings, Anthony Rizzo homered twice and Chicago won 3-0 at Cincinnati in the first game of a doublehead­er. Nick Castellano­s raced home on Craig Kimbrel’s third wild pitch of the seventh inning as the Reds won the second game 6-5.

RAYS 4, MARLINS 0: Rookie Josh Fleming and four relievers combined on a three-hitter, and Tampa Bay pitchers extended their streak of success at Marlins Park to 36 consecutiv­e scoreless innings.

INDIANS 2, CARDINALS 1 (12): Tyler Naquin hit a go-ahead double for Cleveland in the 12th inning at St. Louis.

ROYALS 9, WHITE SOX 6: Maikel Franco and Ryan McBroom homered during Kansas City’s win at Chicago.

RED SOX 5, NATIONALS 3: Xander Bogaerts hit an early three-run homer and host Boston’s bullpen held Washington scoreless over the final 62⁄3innings.

TIGERS SWEEP TWINS: Miguel Cabrera hit a tiebreakin­g two-run homer in the bottom of the fifth inning, lifting host Detroit to a 4-2 victory and a doublehead­er sweep of Minnesota. The Tigers won the first game 8-2.

BLUE JAYS 5, ORIOLES 0: Taijuan Walker pitched six shutout innings and Cavan Biggio had a two-run single in Toronto’s win at Buffalo, N.Y.

GIANTS 5, DIAMONDBAC­KS 2: Wilmer Flores homered as San Francisco won on the road.

ROCKIES 4, PADRES 3: Daniel Murphy’s pinch-hit rbi single in the bottom of the ninth gave Colorado a win.

ANGELS 16, MARINERS 3: Los Angeles’ Jo Adell hit two home runs and Mike Trout homered and drove in six runs.

BREWERS 7, PIRATES 6: Eric Sogard’s two-run home run with one out in the ninth lifted host Milwaukee over Pittsburgh.
