Purging unused webmail addresses
Q: A while back I created an email to a friend but made amistake in their email address. As youwould expect, the email bounced back as undeliverable. I corrected the mistake and created the proper email address inmy Google contacts. However, every time I try to send an email to that person,
Gmail defaults to the incorrect email address. For the life of me I cannot find where Gmail is pulling that incorrect email address from so I can get rid of it. Any suggestions?
A: Gmail, likemany email applications and services, uses an autocomplete function that keeps track of email addresses that you send to and will use them to suggest recipients when you compose a new message and start to type in an address.
To remove an unwanted contact in your Gmail, go to contact.google.com. Once there, start to type the unwanted address in the search box and it will pop up.Click on it and this will open the contact record.
Then, click on the three vertical dots in the upper right corner and select Delete.
Q: I have an old version of Adobe Photoshop and I want to update it. It looks like I can no longer just purchase the application. Rather, I ambeing asked to subscribe to something called Adobe Creative Cloud. Does thismean I can no longer use their software without subscribing?
A: Adobe has moved to a cloud-based subscription model for their premium products. What thatmeans is that you have to pay a monthly subscription rate to use the software.
The good news is that the basic photography plan, which includes Photoshop and Lightroom, is still less expensive over a two- to three-year subscription than you would pay for an up-todate version of Photoshop.
