Leonard Cain, a long-time resident of Deer Park, Texas passed away April 1, 2021 at the age of 87 from complicati­ons of bypass surgery. Leonard was born December 12, 1933 in Clark, Texas. He graduated from Deer

Park High School in 1951 and married his high school sweetheart Ellen Grace Rogers in August of 1953. He was employed at Rohm & Haas Chemical Company for 43 years. He served as a councilman for the City of Deer Park from 1964 to 1968.

Leonard is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years Ellen Cain; his parents

L.F. and Cassie Cain; and his brothers Luther Cain and Thomas Cain. He is survived by his daughter Manta Gayle Symcox of Seabrook, Texas, son Ralph Cain and wife Loretta of Pasadena, Texas; three grandsons: Dustin Cain and wife Misty, Logan Pinion and wife Nora, Jeremy Cain and wife Ragan; six greatgrand­children: Colton, Connor and Cailin Cain, Brady and Aubree Cain, and Jackson Pinion; brother Gerald Cain and wife Delora of Dallas, Texas and sister JoAnn Biggs and husband Paul of Pearland, Texas as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors and his four-legged companion, Kobe.

Visitation will be held at Grand View Funeral Home at 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas on Tuesday, April 6, 1021 from 5-8pm. A celebratio­n of Leonard’s life will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 10am in the chapel of Grand View Funeral Home with burial to follow. Serving as pallbearer­s will be Dustin Cain, Logan Pinion, Jeremy Cain, Paul Biggs, Roger Blake and Kyle Blake.
