Cruz’s actions predictable

Not surprising

Regarding “Protesting at Cruz’s house for military women,” (A12, April 8): The fact that Sen. Ted Cruz will not even walk down his driveway to speak to Marine Corps veteran Diana Sims says a lot about the man. Cruz is not known for providing constituent services for ordinary Texans, diligent work on Senate committees or introducing bills that are anything other than nakedly partisan. He is known for pandering to Fox News infotainment hosts, abandoning Texas while it was in crisis, kissing up to Donald Trump after Trump insulted his wife and father, and as the man that former House Speaker John Boehner called reckless and someone who thinks he is smarter than everyone else. Cruz’s lack of respect for a Texas veteran who is grieving the loss of a sisterin-arms is not terribly surprising, but it is sadly predictable.
