Shirley Ann Anderson passed away peacefully on Saturday April 3, 2021, in Memorial City, Memorial Hermann Hospital. She was born on Jan 10, 1932 in Enid, Oklahoma and was raised by grandmother Grace Kautz. Shirley married Ross Clinton Anderson on August 5, 1950 in Enid. She was a supportive wife and loving mother throughout Ross’s military service, college, and engineering career. Shirley was a talented artist who loved music, theater and travel. She took pride in her membership and fellowship in the choir, Bible study and outreach groups with the Houston Second Baptist Church. Shirley was a welcoming host who loved to plan meals with family and friends and who could never quite remember the punch line to a joke. She was predeceased by her sons Larry and John and is survived by her husband Ross, grandchildren John, Eric, Becky, Addie, and Sophie, great grandchildren Bailey, Warren, Adriana, Ethan, and Heidi and in-laws Debbie, Lucy, Sheena and Africa. Family, friends and others whose lives Shirley touched are invited to attend a simple service on Saturday April 17 at 11:00 AM in the Houston Second Baptist Church Chapel at 6400 Woodway Dr. 77057 to celebrate, reminisce, and give support.
