Lillian passed away on Good Friday April 2, 2021 surrounded by her family.

She lived 89 years and, during those years, gave so much love and compassion, we are all so truly blessed to have had her in our lives! To know her was to love her and be loved by her!

Lillian was born in Hartford, Alabama on February 2, 1932 to Doughty and Dora Mae Grantham. Lillian married the love of her life Roy at the age of 16 and together they created an amazing story unlike any other.

Lillian and Roy completed High School in Geneva, Alabama then went on to welcome their first child a daughter, Susan in Enterprise, Alabama in 1950. Roy and Lillian worked through college, one working when the other attended classes, as education was a priority for them both. Lillian received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Troy State University. Lillian was a fourth grade teacher in Florida. Lillian and Roy welcomed their second daughter Sandra while living in Fort Walton Beach, Florida in 1961. Lillian and Roy moved to Houston, Texas in 1963, as Roy was recruited to work for NASA. In 1963 they also welcomed their son Stephen. Lillian and Roy built and opened The Children’s University, Inc. on February 24, 1967.

Lillian is survived by her three children Susan Larson, Sandra & husband Scott Pierce and Stephen Eason; eight grandchild­ren; 15 great grandchild­ren; Two greatgreat grandchild­ren and one on the way.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m.

- 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 with A Celebratio­n of Life beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home.
