DETROIT TIGERS
Starter Julio Teheran could miss significant time with a strained shoulder suffered while warming up for a start on Friday night.
The team placed the righthander on the 10-day injured list Saturday, but Detroit manager A.J. Hinch indicated Teheran may need additional time to recover.
MINNESOTA TWINS
Third baseman Josh Donaldson (mild right hamstring strain) moved closer to a return next week, taking ground balls and batting practice.
He’s eligible to come off the injured list on Monday.
NEW YORK YANKEES
Third baseman Gio Urshela was back in the lineup after sitting out the series opener due to side effects from a COVID vaccination shot.
TAMPA BAY RAYS
Starter Chris Archer left Saturday’s game in the third inning due to forearm/elbow tightness.
Manager Kevin Cash said a stint on the injured list is likely for Archer.
