CYNTHIA A. RESTA-BOIANO

1956-2021

Cynthia A. Resta-Boiano of League City (64), formerly of Valencia, Pennsylvania passed away unexpectedly on May

22, 2021 at UTMB Galveston.

She was born on November 25, 1956 to Stephen and Gloria Resta. She graduated from Mars High School in 1974 then earned her degree in Psychology from Millersville State College. Following graduation, she moved to Texas where she spent over 30 years in the pharmaceutical industry and held various positions for ScheringPlough, AmGen, Helsinn, and Merck in the Houston metro area where she specialized in oncology over the years.

Cindy was preceded in death by her mother Gloria and several aunts and uncles.

Cindy is survived by her spouse and best friend for 32 years, Margaret A. Boiano also of League City. In addition, she is survived by her father, Stephen; brother, Stephen; sister, Valerie all of Pennsylvania; and brother, Lee of Virginia. Cindy is also survived by brothers-in-law, Anthony (Connie) Boiano and James Boiano; and sistersin-law, Mary Ann Boiano and Rose Marie (Mark) Errico all of Pennsylvania. Cindy’s nephews and nieces included Antonette, Kerry, Samantha, Dustin, & Delaney Jones; Michael, Sarah, Anthony, & Mia Boiano; Nicole, Ron, Sofia, & Roman Molinaro; Nadine, Greg, Lidia, & Vivian Butler; Angela, Aaron, Austin, Abram, & Archer Fetty; and Mark, Liane, & Livianna Errico as well as many cousins.

Cindy loved her family dearly and treasured her many lifelong friendships.

She was a warm, caring, and generous soul and her many acts of kindness will never be forgotten. Cindy enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved to travel, enjoyed boating, and had many fur babies including Milo who misses her every day. She will remain a light in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to have known her.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Crowder Funeral Home in Leage City. Memorial services will be held later in Texas and in Pennsylvania at the convenience of the family.

Cindy dedicated herself to several medical causes. Since May is both Mental Health and Stroke awareness month which she was passionate for both, in lieu of flowers, those who wish to donate in Cindy’s memory in honor of her lifelong advocacy are encouraged to remember either the NAMI of Greater Houston, 9401 Southwest Freeway, Suite 1234, Houston, TX 77074 or to the American Stroke Association, P.O. In addition, she would ask for everyone to treat each other with kindness and respect and to hug your loved ones often.
