In-person graduations are back in 2021
Those four years are completed! High school graduation is an important rite of passage, recognizing all the studying, hard work and activities students have done over the years.
It’s also a step toward adulthood and independence.
Area school districts worked hard to find ways that they could hold graduation ceremonies while following various COVID-19 protocols, which meant looking for larger venues so safe distancing could be observed.
Or, in some cases, deciding to hold graduations outside altogether. Graduating students eagerly wanted this ceremonial step, agreeing to wear masks if asked, and to accept any other restrictions.
