SECOND HOMES

- By Valerie Sweeten FREELANCE WRITER

Get away to a place on the water, a country retreat or a spot in the city.

Houston Realtor Ginny Hopper with Beth Wolff Realtors Real Living has been in the industry since 2006 and knows her neighborhoods.

An agent whose focus area is Afton Oaks, Highland Village/ Mid Lane, Lynn Park, Spring Valley, Oak Forest, and Garden Oaks, Hopper said these areas offer so much to residents.

“They are inside the loop and have beautiful oak trees, great neighbors, are security patrolled and are dog friendly. There are excellent public schools and great people, with young children, who live and support the schools,” said Hopper, who is an Afton Oaks resident for the past three years.

Hopper’s clients range from first-time home buyers to investors, lot seekers, empty nesters, and families who are upsizing and downsizing and looking for all ranges of properties including townhomes, condominiums, and single-family homes throughout Houston. When she started in real estate, her first clients were in the construction industry.

Prior to embarking on her real estate career, Hopper, who specializes in residential real estate, had worked in the interior design and remodeling industry since 1986 and received recognition from the American Institute of Interior Design.

Hopper, a Dallas native, has lived in San Francisco and Charleston, South Carolina, where she obtained her real estate license and practiced real estate. She then moved back to the Memorial area of Houston six years ago.

As a Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES), Hopper said she enjoys what she does.

She is also a strong believer in creating happiness in one’s personal life and career and said her approach to real estate sales is to “work from the heart, not the pocketbook.” She loves helping clients’ transition during some of their most important phases of their lives and takes pride in being protective of their needs.

“I transitioned into real estate from interior design and remodeling because I wanted to help people with everything about addressing a residential home. I am very devoted, and I will give 110 percent to follow through. These are some of the most important times in their lives. I take special care of their situations to get from point A to point B,” she said.

Traits that help connect her with clients with their home goals include her knowledge of knowing how a home is structurally built, as well as being familiar with building materials and interior design, she said.

“I love helping individuals, couples and investors buy and sell homes,” Hopper said.
