Person killed, 3 critically hurt in boat crash

One person died and three were critically injured early Saturday in a boat crash on Lake Conroe, according to the Montgomery County Police Reporter.

Multiple local fire and emergency departments responded shortly before 3 a.m. to the crash near the Walden Golf Course area, the report said.

Three victims were taken to hospitals. Authorities recovered a fourth person’s body in the water roughly an hour after the crash. The victim was not identified but appeared to be a man in his 50s.

The boat slammed into a bulkhead, broke through it and went up onto the golf course, according to the report.
